Counterproductivity... at it's best!

I made this for dinner... and I don't even care how many calories it has. This isn't my personal picture. I am borrowing it from P-Dub herself because mine was gone before I even thought about the camera! I know... I know... I just posted about wanting to be a sexy momma... but I am going to use my "I'm nursing" excuse as long as I can... so long as I am not GAINING weight!

... and let me tell you that it was TOTALLY worth it! I will be using this as a go-to side and potluck dish. If you want to try it, but don't want to cook... just invite me to your next potluck. You will be glad you did!

I am weighing in on Sunday... watch for more progress! Operation 20 lbs in 20 weeks is looking pretty good... I am already down 3.8lbs in the first week... I am adding a little ticker over to the right so you can keep track of my progress! Let me know if you are joining in.. I'd love to see your progress, too!

Move to MILFdom

Long story not so long... I am gonna be sexy. And my goal is to be there by Christmas!

Thanks to the recommendation of a good friend, I will be getting my groove on with Jillian Michaels of The Biggest Loser fame and doing the 30 Day Shred! Basically, it's 25 minute workouts that you do every day for 30 days. She says that you can lose up to 20 lbs in this time frame... but I am expecting those 20lbs to come off slowly and I have about 20 weeks to get there!

I found out that those that Shred are called Shredheads... and I plan on being one myself! I did take "Before" pictures... but those aren't going to be posted just yet... I am not real excited about them, so I will wait until I have a progress pic to compare them to. :o) I also took all my measurements so that I can see how many inches I am down. I am not a big girl... at least in my own head... but I am a little annoyed that I could be on that show "More to Love"... so I am making a change!!

Just a Drive... and our first ever GIVEAWAY!

I took the boys out for a drive today. I needed a break, to pick up a prescription... and a need for a McD's coke. Little Corbin wasn't having it... crying pretty much the whole time, and Ryan sat there... plugging his ears... which made me giggle.

Then I remembered my secret weapon... it got me through many sleepless nights and cranky drives with Ryan.

These cd's are awesome! The group over at Rockabye Baby have come up with their own beautiful reditions of classic rock music, trading the guitars and drums for soothing chimes, vibraphones and bells. Plus, I can sing along with my favorites (although the songs are lyric free) and don't go psycho over the 15th round of twinkle twinkle. It's also great for those hubbies that don't know traditional lullabys anyway!

In any event, I popped it in, Corbin settled down... and I enjoyed the drive home in a way that only a mom of a now silent sleeping babe can do. That coke helped, too.

So, since I feel like everyone needs (at least) one of these albums... even if it's just for your own relaxation... and since I am a Rockabye Baby reseller... I want to gift one to you! All you need to do is post a comment letting me know another trick you have to getting your babies to sleep when everything else fails... I'll use a random number picker to choose a winner on August 20th... and you can pick your favorite Rockabye Baby album. How's that?!

Have a great Thursday... I know I am!

Clutterbug...

I never said I am clean. Ever. I am someone that isn't annoyed my little piles of clutter. But, I have been trying to get to a place that allows me more time to craft and hang out with my kidlets. One thing that I'd love to be able to do is just 1 main chore a day. I'd love to not do housework at all, but that's pretty much what has gotten me where I am today.

Today, I am packing up toys for both selling and to pull out later as a "new" toy. I am also going to be trying to streamline my chore process.

I do need some feedback though... like 90% of the women I know, my Mister doesn't help out at all... and when he attempts to make an effort to help, it ends up creating more work for me. Last week, I was able to have my sister (who normally is in Georgia, but came to visit for a month) come over and just hold my little arm baby so that I could clean. Deep clean. And my house looked pretty sexy if I do say so myself. But fast forward to today, and I'd have no chance of convincing you that there was ever a clear counter in this house. Thanks, Hubby. ... grumble grumble...

So... about that feedback... what do you do to keep your house clean while (a) having toddlers underfoot, (b) your husband doesn't want to help out, and (c) it feels like one step forward is really 3 steps back. :o(
